Job summary

Tentacle Tech is seeking an experienced Functional Tester in Kuala Lumpur to join a banking-focused project on-site. You will craft test scripts, execute tests, and ensure quality for Internet Banking and related banking applications.

The ideal candidate has 4–8 years in testing, a Diploma in CS/IT, and strong knowledge of banking systems. Familiarity with Agile testing and DevOps is valued, along with attention to detail and good communication.

Qualifications

4-8 years of testing experience, ideally within the banking sector.
Diploma in Computer Science/IT or related field.
Strong knowledge of banking applications, particularly Internet Banking.
Familiarity with Agile testing and DevOps methodologies.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to document and follow detailed test scripts and defect tracking.
Good communication skills, email etiquette, and the ability to work independently under pressure.

Responsibilities

Develop test scripts, test conditions, input test data, and expected results for component, assembly, product, performance, user acceptance, and technical architecture tests.
Develop, update, and maintain testing standards and procedures.
Execute test scripts and record problems and issues in line with project problem and issue management plans.
Collaborate with the application team to resolve issues arising from the testing process.
Participate in the release control process to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
Validate product fixes and inform the test lead/manager of any issues affecting schedule, budget, or quality.
