Job summary

KK Group of Companies (Retail) is seeking a Shop Assistant for KK SUPER MART Banting, Banting Baru (BBR) in Selangor. This full-time role puts you at the heart of our retail operations, delivering friendly service and helping customers locate products.

You will stock shelves, handle checkout with accuracy, and support promotions while maintaining store cleanliness and safety standards. Training is provided, with opportunities for progression within the KK Group.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Shop Assistant or in a similar retail customer service role.
• Strong customer service skills with a genuine passion for helping customers.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks such as lifting and restocking.
• Reliability and punctuality.
• Flexibility to work varying shift patterns, including weekends and public holidays as required.
• Basic numeracy skills and competency with point-of-sale systems (training provided)

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products and answering product-related enquiries.
• Stock shelves neatly and maintain product displays to ensure merchandise is well-organised and visually appealing.
• Process customer transactions at the checkout using the point-of-sale system with accuracy and efficiency.
• Handle cash, card payments and other payment methods in compliance with company procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation throughout the store, including floors, shelves and fitting areas.
• Restock inventory and ensure adequate product availability on shelves at all times.
• Support promotional activities and merchandise displays as directed by management.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer concerns and complaints professionally.
• Comply with health and safety regulations and company policies at all times.
• Work collaboratively with team members to achieve store targets and objectives.
