Job summary

NEXT Ventures in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, seeks a hands-on full-stack engineer for the HRIS platform. You will design, build, deploy, and maintain end-to-end systems across backend, frontend, and DevOps, focusing on agentic, AI-powered automation that extends HR capabilities.

Reporting to the HRIS Team Lead, you will turn requirements into reliable production systems, with an architect's mindset for scalable, maintainable design. Entry-professional level with growth into independent ownership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/SE or equivalent demonstrated building ability.
• Experience delivering end-to-end systems; projects count.
• Portfolio or GitHub showing full-stack projects.
• Proficiency in JavaScript and Python.
• Rust or a similar stack knowledge is a plus.
• Ability to learn new languages quickly.
• Backend: API design, server logic, and databases.
• Frontend: modern frameworks, responsive UI.
• Integration: connecting services and data flows.
• Experience with AI/LLM APIs and automation tooling.
• Knowledge of orchestration of AI components in production.
• Git, deployment, and CI/CD fundamentals; cloud hosting.

Responsibilities

• Design and build complete systems across the stack: backend, frontend, and DevOps.
• Own the full build lifecycle: data modeling, API development, UI implementation.
• Apply UI/UX sensibility to deliver usable interfaces.
• Build AI-powered workflows, LLM integrations, and automation tooling.
• Translate requirements into architecture and buildable plans.
• Set up deployment pipelines, environments, and hosting.
• Debug complex issues across frontend, backend, and infra.
• Collaborate on the technical roadmap with HRIS Team Lead.
