Job summary

HOMA ENGINEERING (M) SDN BHD is seeking an Account Executive (Full Set Account) to join the accounting team in Kuala Lumpur City Centre. You will manage complete accounting cycles and deliver accurate financial records for our clients, playing a crucial role in maintaining financial integrity and supporting business growth.

Responsibilities include handling full sets of accounts, bank reconcilations, month-end/ year-end close, and assisting with tax compliance.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting, preferably managing full sets of accounts.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations in Malaysia.
• Excellent attention to detail with high accuracy in financial record-keeping.
• Strong organisational and time management skills to manage multiple client accounts.
• Ability to work independently whilst collaborating effectively with team members.
• Good communication skills with both clients and internal stakeholders.
• Professional and ethical handling of confidential financial information.
• Familiarity with Malaysian tax requirements and GST/SST compliance is advantageous.
• Able to communicate with Mandarin, Malay and Engliah.

Responsibilities

• Managing full sets of accounts for assigned clients, including day-to-day bookkeeping and financial record maintenance
• Preparing and reconciling bank statements, general ledgers, and trial balances
• Recording financial transactions accurately and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations
• Preparing financial statements and reports for clients and management review
• Performing month-end and year-end closing procedures
• Liaising with clients to gather necessary financial documentation and clarify accounting queries
• Identifying and resolving accounting discrepancies and reconciling account variances
• Maintaining organised and secure client files and accounting records
• Assisting with tax compliance and preparation where applicable
• Supporting senior accounting staff with special projects and ad-hoc accounting tasks as required
