Job summary

Inter Island Group Pte Ltd is seeking a qualified accountant in Malaysia to manage day-to-day accounting, bookkeeping, tax filing, and financial statement preparation for the local entity. You will handle cost accounting, asset and inventory management, audit support, and tax administration, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

You will also assist in bank relations, capital planning, daily banking, and coordination of local financial matters, with opportunities to optimise processes and support

Qualifications

• Education Background: Major in Finance, Accounting or related disciplines.
• Work Experience: Minimum 3-years of full-set accounting in a Malaysian manufacturing company.
• Familiar with local tax regulations and export tax rebate procedures.
• Experience with end-to-end full-set accounts handling and audits.
• Added advantage: proficient in ERP system operations and SST familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Be primarily responsible for day‑to‑day accounting, book‑keeping, expense verification, and financial statement preparation.
• Assist in opening/closure of bank accounts, daily banking, and capital planning.
• Coordinate and communicate on local financial matters and process optimization.
• Complete other ad‑hoc tasks as assigned by management.
