Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a fresh graduate to support new product introductions, process engineering, technical assistance, and maintenance in a busy manufacturing environment. Based in Penang, you will coordinate NPI projects, optimise processes, provide day-to-day technical support to production teams, and assist in design reviews, prototyping, and pilot runs.

This role involves validation, work instructions, process flow charts, control plans, and ongoing improvement activities to meet quality

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics/Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply; candidates with relevant manufacturing experience have an added advantage.
• Exposure to metal fabrication, machining, CNC, stamping, or precision engineering is preferred.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, process improvement, machine setup, and troubleshooting is a plus.
• Knowledge of NPI, process validation, PFMEA, Control Plan, Work Instructions and quality requirements is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating and executing NPI projects, including design review, prototyping, and pilot runs.
• Support validation activities to ensure new products meet quality, performance, and customer specifications.
• Prepare and update work instructions, process flow charts, and control plans for new product launches.
• Assist in developing, optimising, and standardising manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and cost control.
• Monitor process parameters and recommend adjustments to maintain product quality.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for process-related issues.
• Provide day-to-day technical assistance to production teams to resolve machine or process problems.
• Assist in the setup and trial runs of machines for new or modified processes.
• Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities to minimise downtime.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams to resolve recurring equipment failures.
