Job summary

Randstad Malaysia is seeking a Freight Operations Coordinator in Kuala Lumpur to oversee multi-modal shipment executions and client communications. You will manage end-to-end air and ocean freight bookings and monitor milestones to ensure timely delivery.

The role requires knowledge of transport documentation, trade terms, and ability to resolve customs holds, capacity issues, and cargo claims while maintaining accurate records and billing support.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of multi-modal import/export operations and trade documentation.
• Experience coordinating shipment lifecycles and tracking.
• Familiarity with logistics software and MS Office.
• Ability to resolve freight disruptions and contingency plans.
• Understanding cargo clearance for manufacturing warehouses and FTZs.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end air and ocean freight bookings and track milestones.
• Prepare bills of lading, airway bills, commercial invoices and packing manifests.
• Recommend cost-effective transit modes and explain trade terms and liability parameters.
• Resolve customs holds, capacity constraints, cargo claims and contingencies.

• Prepare and verify essential transport documentation, including bills of lading, airway bills, commercial invoices, and packing manifests.
• Evaluate client shipping requirements to recommend cost-effective transit modes while clarifying international trade terms and liability parameters.
• Resolve operational challenges such as customs holds and capacity constraints while handling cargo claims and contingency routing.
• Perform billing administrative tasks and audit carrier, haulier, and warehouse invoices against agreed rate cards.
