Job summary

Archetype in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a freelance Content & Copywriter to support regional campaigns across Malaysia, Singapore and Sydney. You will craft clear, compelling copy for social, digital, video and branded communications, and shape content from concepts through delivery.

You will collaborate with regional creative, strategy and account teams, adapt tone for different audiences, manage multiple briefs and deadlines, and bring storytelling excellence to diverse sectors.

Qualifications

• Strong storytelling, copywriting and concept development skills.
• Experience creating content across social, digital, web, video and campaign formats.
• Ability to write effectively across both short-form and long-form content.
• Experience developing campaign messaging, creative concepts, content frameworks or editorial approaches.
• Strong understanding of social and digital content principles.
• Excellent written communication skills, with strong attention to detail and command of English.
• Ability to adapt tone, style and messaging for different audiences, clients and industries.
• Confidence working independently, managing deadlines and responding to feedback.
• Strong collaboration skills, with experience working with creative, strategy, account or client teams.
• A portfolio demonstrating a range of content formats, writing styles and creative thinking.
• Experience working with technology, finance, healthcare, FMCG or related sectors is preferred.
• Availability to work on a project, retainer or ad-hoc basis with agreed turnaround times.

Responsibilities

• Develop clear, compelling copy across social media, websites, landing pages, campaign assets and branded communications.
• Create campaign messaging, content frameworks, hooks, taglines and creative directions that strengthen integrated campaigns.
• Write scripts and frame-by-frame storyboards for short-form video and social content.
• Develop and adapt content for different audiences, markets, channels and stages of the customer journey.
• Support the creation of long-form content, including articles, reports, blogs, thought-leadership pieces, executive content and website copy.
• Contribute creative ideas and content recommendations that help campaigns stand out and connect with their intended audiences.
• Work with creative, strategy and account teams to ensure content reflects campaign objectives, audience insights and client requirements.
• Review and refine copy for clarity, accuracy, tone of voice, grammar and brand consistency.
• Manage agreed briefs, timelines and revisions across project, retainer and ad-hoc assignments.
• Where relevant, contribute to regional content programmes supporting teams in Malaysia, Singapore and Sydney.
