Job summary

AMD is seeking a design engineer to lead and optimize the Fabric PPC in the Adaptive & Embedded Computing Group in Penang, Malaysia. You will drive new capabilities in the FPGA fabric, evaluate future architectures, and provide direction for IP and technologies across silicon teams.

The role requires close collaboration with architecture, manufacturing, and design teams to ensure high performance, low power, and cost-effective fabric solutions across current and future AMD products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer engineering or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience with FPGA/programmable fabrics is a plus.
• Knowledge of high-performance and low-power design techniques.
• Understanding of process nodes, packaging, and test methodologies.
• Familiarity with IP evaluation, sign-off, and verification practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead and optimize the Fabric PPC within the Adaptive & Embedded Computing Group.
• Drive new ideas and capabilities in the programmable fabric for current and future products.
• Collaborate with Architecture and Manufacturing to evaluate future architectures.
• Guide IP designs, ensure quality, performance, power, and cost targets.
• Interact with silicon development teams including digital/analog designers and sign-off teams.
• Review IP designs and ensure manufacturability and testability.
• Support yield improvement and alignment with product roadmaps.
