Job summary

Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. in Penang, Malaysia, is seeking a Senior Engineer to join the Product Characterization Team. You will evaluate the performance of Adaptive SoC and FPGA products, design functional tests, and implement RTL test designs to ensure datasheet targets are met.

You will collaborate with Design, Application, and Product Verification teams, analyze results, and develop automation to improve efficiency. Hybrid work arrangement in Penang is offered.

Qualifications

• A BS in EE, CS, ECE or related field is required; MS preferred.
• Experience with digital design and verification is highly desired.
• Knowledge of FPGA design flow and software timing closure is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop functional tests for measuring performance of Digital IPs and Hard IP System.
• Development of RTL test designs and firmware to validate IPs.
• Conduct testing across process, voltage, and temperature variations and volume system testing.
• Collaborate with Design, Application, and Product Verification teams to investigate issues.
• Isolate issues to test gaps, software bugs, silicon bugs, or process deviations using ATE and bench setups.
• Analyze silicon characterization results and create reports and insights.
• Generate automation scripts for efficiency improvements.
• Manage and guide junior engineers in ATE testing and data analysis.
• Maintain communication with program stakeholders.
