CapBay is seeking a detail-oriented FP&A Executive/Senior Executive to support financial planning, management reporting, and performance analysis. You will prepare financial reports, assist budgeting and forecasting, and provide insights to help management decisions.

You will collaborate with internal teams to improve reporting accuracy, maintain dashboards, and automate reporting processes to boost efficiency. Strong Excel/BI skills and English communication are essential.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics; part-qualified or in-progress ACCA/CIMA/CPA welcome.
• 2–5 years experience in FP&A, management reporting, financial analysis or audit.
• Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills and BI tool knowledge (Power BI or Looker).

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical FP&A Executive / Senior Executive to support CapBay's financial planning, management reporting, and business performance analysis. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing financial reports, supporting budgeting and forecasting activities, and providing meaningful insights to support management decisions. You will also work closely with internal teams to improve reporting accuracy, maintain financial dashboards, and automate reporting processes to enhance efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be expected to:

1. Internal and investor reporting

• Prepare the monthly management reporting pack, comparing actuals to budget, forecast and prior periods, and draft commentary on key movements.
• Prepare schedules and analysis for quarterly Board papers.
• Prepare periodic reports for equity investors and debt funders, including covenant calculations, and help answer their queries.
• Carry out ad hoc analysis requested by management, such as product or client profitability, cost reviews and pricing changes.
• Check that reported figures agree to the general ledger and to data from Accounting and business teams before submission.

2. Data and automation

• Maintain and update management and investor dashboards in BI tools (e.g. Power BI, Looker).
• Use Excel / Google Sheets (Power Query), and SQL or Python where needed, to pull data and automate recurring reports.
• Flag data quality issues to data owners and follow up until fixed.

3. Annual budget and forecasting support

• Collect and check budget inputs from business and support teams.
• Update budget and forecast models, and prepare supporting schedules.
• Track actuals against budget and forecast, and explain key variances.

Key Qualifications and Requirements

We are looking for someone who is:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics; part-qualified or in-progress ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent is welcome.
• Executive: 2–3 years of experience. Senior Executive: 3–5 years. Experience should be in FP&A, management reporting, financial analysis or audit.
• Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills; working knowledge of a BI tool such as Power BI or Looker.
• Comfortable using AI tools in daily finance work.
• High attention to detail, and clear written and spoken English.

Nice to have

• Experience in lending, banking, fintech or other financial services.
• Basic SQL or Python.
• Experience with investor, lender or Board reporting.
