Job summary

CapBay Group in Malaysia seeks an experienced Tech Product Manager to own the product lifecycle for one or more product lines. You will define strategy, prioritise and trade off decisions, and be accountable for delivering measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a product manager in a tech-centric company.
• End-to-end ownership: ideation through launch with measurable results.
• Experience writing PRDs, defining KPIs, and data-informed prioritisation.
• Experience with agile methodologies and leading cross-functional teams.
• Strong technical fluency to engage with engineers on APIs and architecture.

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Tech Product Manager to own and drive the product development lifecycle for one or more product lines. You will define product strategy, make prioritisation and trade‑off decisions, and be accountable for delivering measurable outcomes. This role requires strong technical fluency, the ability to lead cross‑functional teams, and a track record of shipping products in fast‑moving environments.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be expected to:

• Lead requirements discovery: Run stakeholder sessions, synthesise competing needs, and make trade‑off decisions on scope and priority.
• Own and drive the product roadmap: Define what gets built, in what order, and why. Manage scope, timelines, and dependencies across engineering and design.
• Be accountable for product outcomes: Define success metrics, monitor performance post‑launch, and proactively course‑correct when results are off‑track.
• Identify product improvement opportunities through data analysis and user feedback. Own the experimentation cycle from hypothesis to validated learning.
• Drive alignment between business strategy and technical execution. Make judgment calls on build‑vs‑buy, technical debt trade‑offs, and architectural considerations alongside engineering leads.
• Communicate product vision, progress, and trade‑offs clearly to executives, business stakeholders, and the broader organisation.
• Define and own the testing strategy for product releases: Partner with quality assurance (QA) on internal testing, coordinate stakeholder user acceptance testing (UAT), and make final go/no‑go decisions.
• Own product documentation and cross‑functional action items, ensuring commitments are tracked through to completion.

Key Qualifications & Requirements

We are looking for someone with:

• 5+ years of experience as a product manager in a tech‑centric company.
• Demonstrated ability to own a product area end‑to‑end: from ideation through launch and iteration, with measurable results.
• Experience writing PRDs, defining KPIs, and making data‑informed prioritisation decisions.
• Experience with agile methodologies and leading (not just participating in) cross‑functional teams.
• Strong technical fluency: able to engage meaningfully with engineers on system design, APIs, and technical constraints.
• Proven track record of delivering product outcomes in ambiguous, fast‑moving environments (fintech, e‑commerce, or startup experience preferred).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence without authority.
• Experience with Supply Chain Finance or P2P products is a plus.
