Job summary

CapBay is seeking an experienced Collection Executive / Senior Executive in Malaysia to oversee and optimize debt collection efforts. The role requires monitoring overdue payments, following up with customers, and maintaining accurate payment records while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Ideal candidates will have 3–5 years in accounts receivable or collections, strong negotiation and communication skills, and fluency in English, Bahasa, and Chinese.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of accounts receivable or collections experience.
• Strong communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
• Fluent in English, Bahasa and Chinese speaking.

Responsibilities

• Account Monitoring: Track accounts receivable and identify accounts with overdue balances.
• Billing & Statements: Prepare and monitor payment reminders, letters and notices to be sent promptly and accurately to customers or paymasters.
• Collections Follow-Up: Contact customers via phone calls, emails, or WhatsApp to secure payment commitments and resolve billing disputes.
• Payment Allocation: Accurately record, allocate, and reconcile customer payments and adjustments with finance and operations departments.
• Compliance with Regulations: Comply with internal policies and procedures and ensure full regulatory compliance with the Consumer Credit Act 2025.
• Reporting: Prepare collection reports and monthly collection summaries for management.
• Internal Coordination: Work closely with the sales, operations, finance, and legal departments to resolve discrepancies or handle escalated debt recovery.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of debt collection processes, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and a commitment to achieving collection targets while maintaining positive customer relationships.

• Experience: 3-5 years of experience in accounts receivable or collections, preferably in financial institutions or banking industry.


• Skills: Strong communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and attention to detail.


• Language: Fluent in English, Bahasa and Chinese speaking.
