Job summary

Counterpunch A Virtuos Studio is seeking a Forward-Deployed Software Engineer to join our AI for Engineering team in Malaysia. You will build, customize, and integrate AI-powered developer tools, turning emerging technologies into reliable solutions for our engineering teams.

You will drive evaluation, deployment, and hardened integration across security, reliability, and usability. You will develop AI agents and workflows for the internal AI portal, ensure enterprise compliance, and collaborate

Qualifications

3+ years of software engineering experience building, integrating, and supporting developer tools or apps.
Hands-on experience integrating LLMs, AI coding assistants, or agent frameworks, including prompt design.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, build automation, packaging, and release management.
Experience integrating APIs and enterprise authentication, with SSO/OAuth 2.0/OIDC understanding.
Familiarity with logging, monitoring, observability, and troubleshooting.
Strong communication in English for technical docs and collaboration.

Responsibilities

Evaluate open-source AI coding tools for production readiness, security, and compliance.
Harden and customize tools to meet security, configuration, and SSO requirements.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated checkout, scanning, patching, signing, packaging, and publication.
Develop AI agents and workflows inside the internal AI portal, including prompts and tool integrations.
Collaborate with InfoSec, DevOps, and platform teams on security and usability.
Maintain audit reports, runbooks, and developer-facing guides.
