Job summary

Avanade is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer Lead Practitioner in Malaysia to drive the AI-native engineering track from strategy to production. You will lead client engagements, shape solution concepts, and define engineering standards across reference architectures and reusable assets.

Role blends business understanding, solution architecture and engineering leadership with the aim of scalable, production-ready outcomes. Travel across APAC is expected.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software or AI engineering with senior/lead accountability for production systems.
• Hands-on agentic engineering: orchestration, retrieval, tool use, evaluation, observability, failure handling.

Responsibilities

• Partner with clients and architects to translate business priorities into practical AI-enabled solutions.
• Identify where AI creates value and shape concepts that are viable and scalable.
• Translate roadmaps into production-ready architectures and delivery plans.
• Own the engineering standard for the Forward Deployed Engineer track, including practices, testing and production readiness.
• Define AI-native engineering practices and reusable components."
• Define reference architectures and decision frameworks for Copilot Studio and Azure capabilities.
• Set hiring and capability development standards for the FDE track.
