Job summary

Virtuos Holdings in Malaysia seeks a Forward-Deployed Software Engineer to join the AI for Engineering team. You will build, customize, and integrate AI-powered developer tools for our engineering groups, guiding tools from evaluation through deployment.

Collaborate with DevOps, platform engineering, and InfoSec to ensure security, reliability, and a seamless developer experience. You will also develop AI agents and workflows for our internal AI portal.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software engineering experience building and integrating developer tools.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs and AI coding assistants.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and release management.
• Experience with API integration and enterprise authentication (SSO/OIDC).
• Strong English communication and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of secure development practices and code quality tooling.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate open-source AI coding assistants for production readiness, security, and compliance.
• Perform static analysis with tools like SonarQube and audit network activity.
• Harden/open-source tools and build in-house solutions to meet enterprise security and SSO.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for AI coding tools and deployments.
• Deliver signed, versioned binaries to an internal launcher for one-click install.
• Design and maintain AI agents within the AI portal, incl. prompts and tool integrations.
• Monitor and troubleshoot across tools and apps, improving reliability and performance.
• Collaborate with InfoSec, DevOps, platform engineering on security and usability.
• Maintain audit reports, runbooks, and developer FAQs.
