Job summary

PrimaBaguz, a Malaysian halal meat manufacturer, seeks an Assistant Business Development Manager, Foodservice to drive growth in HORECA, bakery, catering and distributor channels. You will develop and execute account plans, build strong relationships, and deliver sales targets through effective collaboration with distributors and internal teams.

Based in Bandar Baru Bangi, Selangor, the role requires 6–8 years in FMCG foodservice, a business or marketing degree, and proven negotiation,

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of sales/commercial experience in FMCG foodservice; multi-market exposure preferred.
• Strong experience in managing HORECA, Bakery, Catering, and Distributor partners.
• Experience making data-driven decisions (distributor dashboards, insights to drive menu penetration, etc.).
• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow assigned foodservice accounts, ensuring delivery of sales, volume, and profitability targets.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships with HORECA, Bakery, Catering, and Distributor partners.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and promotional agreements with customers.
• Develop Joint Business Plans with key accounts to strengthen partnerships.
• Monitor account performance and ensure excellent execution of programs.
• Execute the foodservice strategy to drive channel penetration and category growth.
• Identify new opportunities within the foodservice sector and recommend tailored solutions.
• Work with distributors to expand market reach and improve sales coverage.
• Stay updated on competitor activities, market dynamics, and industry trends.
• Coordinate with Marketing on customer promotions, POSM, and activations.
• Collaborate with R&D and Technical teams to deliver customized solutions for customers.
• Partner with Supply Chain to ensure accurate forecasting, timely order fulfillment, and service excellence.
