Job summary

Vit Makanan (KL) Sdn. Bhd. seeks a detail-oriented Research and Development Executive to drive product development from concept to prototype.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Chemistry, Nutrition, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in Food R&D / Product Development preferred; fresh graduates encouraged.
• Knowledge of food ingredients, formulation, processing, and sensory evaluation is a plus.
• Experience with instant noodles, seasonings, sauces, or FMCG/food products is an advantage.
• Familiarity with GMP, HACCP, Halal, FSSC 22000 or similar food-safety standards preferred.
• Strong documentation and report-writing skills; good communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development and improvement of food products including noodles, seasonings, and sauces.
• Conduct lab trials, formulation, prototype prep, and sensory evaluation.
• Coordinate and monitor production trials per customer and company requirements.
• Troubleshoot product and process issues and propose improvements.
• Evaluate raw materials and ingredients including specs and usage.
• Prepare R&D docs, formulations, trial reports, specs and development records.
• Collaborate with Production, QC, Purchasing and other departments on new product development.
• Communicate with suppliers on materials, samples and trials.
• Support customer/OEM projects and respond to technical requirements.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, regulatory and company standards.
