Job summary

WEST MALAYAN GROUP SDN. BHD. is seeking a Senior R&D Executive to develop and improve food products, conduct laboratory trials and ensure compliance with Halal, HACCP, GMP and food safety standards.

The role involves preparing formulations, product specifications and R&D reports, evaluating raw materials, costing and optimisation, and coordinating trials with Production, QA/QC and Purchasing. A strong background in food science and hands-on trial experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Chemistry or related field.
• 3–6 years of relevant R&D experience, preferably in food manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of food formulation and product development.
• Experience in sauces, pastes, seasonings, beverages or FMCG is an advantage.
• Knowledge of Halal, HACCP and GMP.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Able to conduct product trials independently.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities
