Job summary

Sena Diecasting Industries in Malaysia conducts First Article inspections for new tooling and parts, coordinating with engineering on drawings and product development. The role includes maintaining CMM programs, preparing reports, and supporting fixture calibration to ensure measurement accuracy.

You will schedule FA activities weekly and monthly, submit samples on time, and collaborate closely with engineers to resolve problems before production.

Qualifications

• Ability to read technical drawings and interpret dimensions accurately.
• Experience operating CMM and programming for measurement tasks.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications for reporting and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform FA (First Article) inspection for all new products from tooling, transfers or replacements.
• Schedule monthly and weekly FA activities to ensure timely sample submissions to PDE.
• Collaborate with engineers on new product development drawings and issues.
• Develop/monitor/maintain CMM programs and checking methods.
• Use CAD software to confirm part drawing details.
• Assist engineers with problem analysis for new FA parts.
• Prepare FA schedules for monitoring on monthly and weekly basis.
• Prepare FA reports after measuring is completed.
• Support measuring calibration for fixtures using CMM.
• Undertake additional duties as required by supervisor.

Job description

To perform FA (First Article) inspection for all new product, whether from new tooling, transferred tooling or replacement tooling and prepare tool report.

To ensure FA schedules for monitoring on monthly and weekly activities to ensure on time FA sample submission to PDE.

To work closely with engineers in new product development drawings.

To develop/monitor/ maintain CMM program and checking method using various inspection equipment.

Able to use CAD software to confirm part drawing details.

To work closely with engineers in problem analysis for new FA parts.

To prepare FA schedules for monitoring on monthly and weekly activities.

To prepare FA reports after FA measuring completes.

To support for measuring calibration for fixtures by using CMM.

To perform any other jobs or duties as and when required by superior.

MINIMUM SKILLS:

• a. Preferably to be able to read technical drawings.
• b. Preferably to be able to operate CMM and programming.
• c. Must be computer literate in Microsoft Office Applications.
• d. Minimum SPM holders or any certificate in Engineering field.
