Microvit Sdn Bhd seeks a Quality Engineer to monitor and ensure product quality in CNC milling operations. You will perform in-process and final inspections, develop QC plans and inspection procedures, and investigate non-conformities with CAPA.
Coordinate ISO 9001 and customer audits, conduct internal quality audits, and maintain the QMS while driving CAPA, FAI, and 8D activities to improve process capability and manufacturability.
Monitor and ensure product quality in CNC milling operations.
Perform in-process and final inspections of machined components against drawings, specifications, and tolerances.
Develop and implement quality control plans, work instructions, and inspection procedures.
Investigate non-conformities, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
Prepare, maintain, and update documentation required for ISO 9001 compliance.
Coordinate and support ISO 9001 certification audits and customer audits.
Conduct internal quality audits and follow-up on corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with company’s Quality Management System (QMS).
Handle First Article Inspection (FAI) process including measurement reports, sample submissions, and documentation packages.
Prepare, review, and maintain FA reports and supporting paperwork for customer approval.
Liaise with production, engineering, and customers to ensure FA requirements are met.
Lead and prepare 8D reports to address customer complaints and major non-conformances.
Facilitate cross-functional problem-solving using 8D methodology (containment, root cause, corrective/preventive action, verification).
Develop, implement, and monitor Corrective Action Plans (CAP) to eliminate recurrence of issues.
Track and verify effectiveness of corrective actions before closure.
Address customer quality concerns and implement corrective actions promptly.
Support supplier quality management through incoming inspection and audits.
Ensure quality requirements flow down to suppliers and subcontractors.
Drive initiatives to improve machining accuracy, reduce defects, and enhance overall process capability.
Provide feedback to engineering and production teams to improve manufacturability and efficiency.
