Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Fire Engineer/Fire Protection Engineer in MEP construction projects.
• Experience in high-rise buildings, data centres, hospitals, or commercial projects is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of fire fighting and fire alarm systems.
• Willingness to work in Seremban/Nilai, Negeri Sembilan.

Responsibilities

• Review fire protection design documents, calculations, and specifications for compliance with project requirements and applicable codes.
• Support procurement activities including material submittals, vendor coordination, delivery tracking, and material control.
• Supervise and coordinate on-site installation of fire protection systems to ensure compliance with approved drawings and schedules.
• Prepare and review shop drawings, method statements, ITPs, and technical submissions for approval.
• Monitor work progress and prepare daily or weekly status updates, highlighting risks, constraints, and follow-up actions.
• Support inspections, testing, and commissioning of fire alarm and firefighting systems.
• Verify that all test records, reports, and technical documentation are complete and properly maintained.
• Prepare handover documentation including as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and closeout documents.
• Ensure quality, compliance, and readiness of systems such as sprinkler, hydrant, fire pump, and fire alarm systems.
• Liaise with relevant stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and authorities where required.
• Reports to the Operations Manager.
• Perform any other duties assigned by Management.

Role Summary:

The Fire Safety Engineer is responsible for reviewing, coordinating, supervising, testing, and documenting fire protection and fire alarm systems to ensure compliance, reliability, and readiness for operation. The role covers design review, procurement support, installation oversight, testing and commissioning, and project closeout.

Responsibilities:

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.

Minimum 5 Years of experience as a Fire Engineer/Fire Protection Engineer in MEP Construction Project.

Experience in High rise buildings, Data Centre, Hospitals, or Commercial Project is an advantage.

Strong knowledge of Fire Fighting and Fire Alarm Systems.

Good understanding of the design and installation of sprinkler, hydrant, fire pump, and FAS systems.

Ability to read and interpret fire system drawings, shop drawings, and technical specifications.

Must be willing to work in Seremban/Nilai, Negeri Sembilan.
