Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, backup power, and fault diagnostics.
• Willing to work in Seremban/Nilai, Negeri Sembilan.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain critical electrical systems (e.g., UPS, generators, switchgear, transformers).
• Perform routine inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance to ensure electrical assets are in safe and reliable operating condition.
• Respond promptly to alarms, faults, abnormal readings, and power-related incidents to minimize downtime and risk.
• Diagnose electrical failures, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Support planned shutdowns, energization works, and emergency power restoration.
• Coordinate with external vendors, contractors, and service providers for maintenance, repairs, testing, and specialized services.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection logs, and technical documentation.
• Ensure all electrical works are carried out in accordance with procedures, safety requirements, and regulations.
• Support cross-functional teams during incident response, audits, testing and commissioning, and facility improvement works.

Role Summary:

The Electrical Engineer is responsible for the operation, monitoring, maintenance, and reliability of the site’s electrical infrastructure, including critical power systems required for uninterrupted facility operations. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, fault response, troubleshooting, vendor coordination, and compliance with safety and operating standards.

Responsibilities:

Operate and maintain critical electrical systems (e.g., UPS, generators, switchgear, transformers).

Perform routine inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance to ensure electrical assets remain in safe and reliable operating condition.

Respond promptly to alarms, faults, abnormal readings, and power-related incidents to minimize downtime and operational risk.

Diagnose electrical failures, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.

Support planned shutdowns, switching activities, energization works, and emergency power restoration.

Reports to the Operations Manager and functionally supports the Building Manager on facility-related matters.

Perform any other duties assigned by Management.

Requirements:

Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.

Minimum 3 years of experience in a data centre, mission-critical, industrial, or similar critical infrastructure environment.

Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, backup power, and fault diagnostics.

Basic understanding of cooling systems and mechanical equipment.

Good problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.

Strong capability in fault analysis and root cause investigation.

Willing to work in Seremban/Nilai, Negeri Sembilan.
