Job summary

Penang Hill Corporation is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to oversee electrical systems and related infrastructure at our Penang location. You will perform inspections, diagnostics, and planned maintenance on firefighting, air-conditioning, PA, and CCTV systems, while ensuring compliance with energy regulations.

The role requires a valid electrical/electronic certificate, 2+ years in the field, and the ability to read Bahasa Malaysia and English.

Qualifications

Malaysian citizen aged 21 years or older.
Possess at least a Certificate in Electrical / Electronic or equivalent.
Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience.
Willingness to work overtime when required.
Read and write in Bahasa Malaysia and English.

Responsibilities

Manage electrical equipment to ensure reliable operation and safety.
Conduct periodic inspections and testing of firefighting, HVAC, PA, and CCTV systems.
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting, and corrective actions.
Liaise with regulators and utility bodies on compliance issues.
Maintain logs for checks as required by energy commission.
Troubleshoot basic electrical issues and address minor plumbing problems.
Operate genset, LV switchboard, and maintenance services.
Schedule annual ACB and switchboard servicing.
Calibrate protection relays and related equipment.
Communicate results clearly after repairs and updates to supervisors.
