Job summary

Sepadu Group is seeking a Facilities Technician (Mobile Team) to manage building maintenance across Penang and related sites. The role requires traveling to outstation locations such as Perak to keep electrical systems, HVAC, and facilities in optimal condition.

You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with site managers to ensure safe, efficient operations. A diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering and hands-on maintenance experience are required.

Qualifications

• Certificate or Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 2–3 years of hands-on experience in building facility maintenance, MEP services, or mobile technical operations.
• Strong knowledge of electrical wiring/troubleshooting and HVAC servicing.
• Experience in civil works and handyman tasks (painting, masonry, carpentry, basic plumbing) is advantageous.
• Willingness to travel across sites and inter-state locations; valid driving license and own transport.

Responsibilities

• Work independently with minimal supervision, prioritizing daily work orders and managing time on-site.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and self-motivated Facilities Technician (Mobile Team) to manage building maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs across multiple operational sites. This role requires high flexibility, as you will be traveling across assigned locations, including outstation regions such as Perak, to ensure all physical facilities, electrical systems, and mechanical assets remain fully operational, safe, and well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

Mobile Operations & Service Delivery

• Travel regularly between assigned sites and states (e.g., Perak) to handle routine maintenance, service requests, and emergency breakdowns.
• Work independently with minimal supervision, prioritizing daily work orders and managing time effectively on-site.
• Coordinate with site managers, facility teams, and clients to address operational issues promptly and professionally.
• Keep accurate records of completed work orders, parts inventory, and maintenance logs.
• Maintain all assigned tools, testing equipment, and company assets in safe working condition.

Technical Maintenance & Repairs

• Electrical & Air-Conditioning (HVAC): Perform troubleshooting, routine servicing, and basic repairs on electrical distribution boards, lighting, power points, split-unit air conditioners, and HVAC components.
• Plumbing & Fixtures: Inspect, repair, and install plumbing fixtures, piping, drainage systems, and water pumps.
• Civil & General Maintenance: Execute basic handyman and civil works, including minor carpentry, painting, plastering, tile repairs, and basic masonry.
• Perform preventive maintenance schedules to extend asset lifespans and minimize operational downtime.

Safety & Compliance

• Adhere strictly to occupational safety protocols, local authority guidelines, and company safety standards.
• Safely operate power tools, machinery, and handle hazardous maintenance materials.
• Proactively identify potential structural, safety, or operational hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Open to both local and foreign candidates (Foreign candidates must have a valid work permit).

Job Requirements & Qualifications

• Certificate or Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 2-3 years or more of hands‑on experience in building facility maintenance, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) services, or mobile technical operations.
• Technical Knowledge:
  • Strong practical knowledge in electrical wiring/troubleshooting and air-conditioning (HVAC) servicing.
  • Practical experience in civil works and handyman tasks (painting, masonry, carpentry, basic plumbing) is highly advantageous.
• Mobility & Flexibility:
  • High flexibility and willingness to travel frequently across multiple sites and inter-state locations (e.g., Perak).
  • Must possess a valid driving license and own transport.
• Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving ability, self-discipline, good communication skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
