• Degree in Finance or Accounting with at least 3 years' experience in general insurance industry.
• Qualified member of a recognised professional accounting body (e.g., CPA/ACCA/CIMA).
• Broad knowledge of accounting standards and regulatory reporting in financial services.

Responsibilities

• Lead the financial management functions of the Company
• Oversee the accounting and finance functions and activities of the Company, which includes cash flow planning, investment, asset management, financing strategies, budgeting and forecasting.
• Develop and maintain timely and accurate financial statements, regulatory and management reports
• Implement and maintain appropriate internal controls and procedures
• Liaise with Bank Negara Malaysia and other regulatory bodies to ensure that all regulatory compliance requirements and ad-hoc requests are met in a timely and accurate manner
• Advise business managers on technical accounting, financial, management, compliance and regulatory issues
• Lead and maintain high performance employees through an effective performance management system, continuous communication and training of employees.

Requirements

• Degree in Finance or Accounting with at least 3 years' experience in general insurance industry
• Qualified member of recognised professional accounting body e.g. CPA, ACCA, CIMA
• Broad knowledge of accounting standards and reporting requirements, regulatory framework set by relevant authorities/agencies in the financial services industry
• Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical and negotiation skills that can be used in motivating, influencing and advising key decision makers
• Ability to maintain high standards/quality of work and continually seek improvement
• Excellent leadership skills
