Job summary

Private Advertiser in Malaysia seeks a senior Group Finance Leader to oversee daily financial operations, consolidate reports, and support strategic business decisions across the FMCG/Manufacturing sectors.

You will drive budgeting, monthly closing, and KPI analysis, liaise with auditors and authorities, and develop the finance team to enhance performance and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Professional degree in finance/accounting or professional qualification (ACCA/MICPA/CIMA).
• Member of MIA or government-recognized body preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
• Experience in FMCG/agriculture/manufacturing is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Group’s daily financial operations and understand factors affecting business and financial performance.
• Prepare clear analyses and reports on the Group’s financial and operational performance.
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers and government authorities on loans, grants, incentives and subsidies.
• Manage all finance functions: treasury, accounting and reporting, budgeting, financial analysis and cash flow.
• Support business decisions for all Group companies.
• Coordinate monthly, quarterly and yearly Group financial reports and consolidation.
• Set up and maintain accounting systems, internal controls and work procedures across the Group.
• Lead the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
• Ensure statutory reports are accurate and timely, compliant with requirements.
• Prepare and submit financial reports to Bursa Malaysia on time, per listing rules.
• Review monthly performance and explain variances; provide management with recommendations.
• Manage payments, collections and cash balances effectively.
• Support senior management on business, commercial and operational matters, including special projects.
• Recruit, mentor and develop team members to improve performance.

Education

Professional Degree in Finance/Accounting or ACCA/MICPA/CIMA

MIA membership or recognized professional body

Job description

Support business decisions for all companies within the Group.

Coordinate monthly, quarterly and yearly Group financial reports and consolidation.

Set up and maintain accounting systems, internal controls and work procedures across the Group.

Lead the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.

Ensure all statutory reports are accurate, completed on time and comply with relevant requirements.

Prepare and submit accurate financial reports and required disclosures to Bursa Malaysia on time, in line with listing requirements.

Review financial and business performance each month and provide recommendations to management.

Compare actual results against the budget and explain key differences.

Manage payments, collections and cash balances effectively.

Support senior management on business, commercial and operational matters, including special projects when required.

Recruit, guide, motivate and develop team members to improve performance and efficiency.

Job Requirement

Candidate must possess at least a Professional Degree in Finance/ Accounting or professional accountancy qualification – ACCA/MICPA/CIMA.

Members of MIA or government recognized professional body.

At least 10 year(s) of relevant working experience in similar capacity.

Working experience in FMCG/Agriculture / Manufacturing environment is an added advantage

Background experience in operational finance & finance business partnerships.
