Group Financial Controller (Public Listed Multi Entity)

We are seeking an experienced Group Financial Controller /Head of Finance to lead the finance function of a Bursa-listed group with business segments spanning Manufacturing, Distribution & Marketing, and Trading/Wholesale. Reporting to the CFO/CEO/Board, this role has a strong emphasis on tax strategy and planning, alongside end-to-end oversight of the Group's financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee timely and accurate consolidation of financial statements across multiple business segments and entities, in compliance with MFRS/IFRS and Bursa Malaysia listing requirements

Budgeting, Forecasting & Business Performance

Lead the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting process across all business units

Provide business performance analysis and insights to support Management and board-level decision-making

Develop and drive Group-wide tax strategy, optimizing tax efficiency across multiple entities and jurisdictions

Ensure full compliance with Malaysian tax regulations (income tax, transfer pricing, indirect tax, etc.)

Manage relationships with tax authorities and external tax advisors; oversee tax audits and disputes

Treasury, Cash Flow & Working Capital Management

Manage Group treasury functions, banking relationships, and funding strategies

Optimize cash flow and working capital across business segments

Strengthen internal control frameworks and risk management practices Group-wide

Ensure adherence to corporate governance standards required of a Bursa-listed entity (MCCG, Bursa Listing Requirements)

Audit & Regulatory Compliance

Liaise with external and internal auditors; ensure timely completion of statutory audits

Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory bodies (Bursa Malaysia, SC, Companies Commission, etc.)

Requirements

Chartered Accountant (MIA/ACCA/CPA/CIMA or equivalent professional qualification)

10-15+ years of relevant experience, with prior experience as Financial Controller in a Bursa Malaysia-listed company

Strong knowledge of MFRS/IFRS, Malaysian tax regulations, and corporate governance requirements

Proven track record in tax planning and strategy, ideally across multi-entity or group structures
