Job summary

Urban Empire Builders Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a seasoned Chief Financial Officer/Finance Director to oversee finance, accounting, taxation, budgeting and reporting.

The role provides strategic financial advice to the Board and senior management while ensuring Bursa Malaysia Listing Requirements and statutory compliance. The successful candidate will lead planning, budgeting, forecasting and risk management, and collaborate with auditors, bankers and regulators.

Qualifications

• Must be a Chartered Accountant (CA(M)) in good standing with the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA).
• Minimum 3 years of experience as CFO/Financial Controller/Finance Director or equivalent for a listed company.
• Strong knowledge of MFRS financial reporting, corporate governance, taxation, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience with IPOs is highly preferred.

Job description

Oversee the Company's finance, accounting, taxation, budgeting, and reporting functions. Provide strategic financial advice to the Board and senior management. Ensure compliance with Bursa Malaysia Listing Requirements, accounting standards, and statutory regulations.

Key responsibilities

Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and risk management.

Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, regulators, advisors, and other external stakeholders.

Attend board meetings and various management meetings.

Strengthen internal controls and corporate governance practices.

Support corporate exercises and other strategic business initiatives where required.

About you

Must satisfy the qualification requirements prescribed under the Bursa Malaysia Listing Requirements for the person primarily responsible for the financial management of a listed corporation.

Must be a fully registered Chartered Accountant - C.A.(M) under Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) with good standing.

Minimum 3 years of experience as a Chief Financial Officer/Financial Controller/Finance Director, or in a role primarily responsible for the financial management of a listed corporation.

Strong knowledge of MFRS financial reporting, corporate governance, taxation, and regulatory compliance.

Excellent leadership, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Experienced in IPO exercise is highly preferred.
