Job summary

Carro, Southeast Asia's largest used car marketplace, is seeking a Financial Analyst to turn data into business impact. You will develop weekly P&L insights, support month-end closes, and build dashboards that illuminate revenue and profitability.

Ideal candidates hold a finance/accounting degree (CPA a plus), with 4+ years in financial or management accounting. Strong English communication and a commercial mindset are essential for this role in Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting (CPA advantageous)
• Experience in financial and/or management accounting; Big Four / mid-tier background is a plus

Responsibilities

• Drive business performance insights — Prepare weekly P&L reports and analyse key financial results to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
• Make the numbers tell a story — Support month-end close with month-to-date, year-to-date, and historical performance analysis, with a focus on revenue and profitability.
• Turn data into actionable intelligence — Design and develop financial dashboards that give management a clear, insightful view of business performance.
• Challenge the status quo — Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, improve processes, and make routine finance activities more efficient.
• Be part of meaningful change — Contribute to ad-hoc finance projects, transformation initiatives, and business improvement efforts.

The Ideal Candidate

Bachelor Degree or higher in finance or accountancy, with at least 4 years of working experience in financial and/or management accounting. Candidates with relevant CPA qualification would have an advantage.

Prior experience in a Big Four / mid-tier accounting firm or large tech companies will be an advantage.

Attention to detail, strong communication skills, written & verbal with an excellent command of the English language.

Strong business, commercial and financial acumen, particularly in the tech sector, with demonstrable analytical and thinking skills.

Independent self-starter with a penchant for problem-solving with a structured approach to scoping and crafting detailed solutions to these problems.

Proficient in using MS Office Suite and G Suite. Familiarity with Netsuite ERP software would be an advantage.
