Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to lead quarterly Bursa Malaysia reporting and annual financial statements. You will coordinate with auditors, ensure compliance with MFRS, and deliver accurate disclosures for quarterly results. The ideal candidate has 5–8 years of accounting experience and a degree in accounting or finance, with ACCA/MIA/CPA preferred.

The role demands independence, tight deadlines, and strong analytical and communication skills in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, MIA, CPA or equivalent is highly preferred.
• 5–8 years of relevant accounting and financial reporting experience.
• Experience in quarterly Bursa reporting, annual report preparation and audit coordination.
• Able to work independently, manage tight reporting deadlines and coordinate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Hands-on, commercially minded and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Company’s quarterly financial reporting and Bursa Malaysia reporting requirements, ensuring timely and accurate submission of announcements and financial results.
• Prepare and review quarterly financial statements, management accounts and financial reporting packages in accordance with applicable MFRS and Bursa Malaysia requirements.
• Coordinate the preparation of financial information, disclosures and supporting schedules for quarterly results, annual reports and other corporate reporting.
• Liaise closely with external auditors, company secretary, tax advisors and other professional advisors on financial reporting and compliance matters.
• Monitor changes in MFRS, Bursa Malaysia requirements and other regulatory developments, and assess their impact on the Group.
• Coordinate the year-end audit process, including preparation of audit schedules, supporting documents and responses to audit queries.
• Review and strengthen financial reporting processes, internal controls and accounting policies to support the Company’s growth.
• Work closely with the finance and accounting team to ensure accurate, complete and timely closing of monthly and quarterly accounts.
• Assist management in analysing financial results, including variance analysis, key financial indicators, cash flow and profitability, and provide relevant insights to management.
• Perform other finance, accounting and corporate reporting duties as assigned by management.
