Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking an Admin & Account Executive in Malaysia to manage daily accounting operations, office administration, banking, shipments and stock control. You will work with customers, suppliers, banks, auditors and internal teams to ensure accurate records and smooth operations.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance and 8–10 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in MYOB, MS Excel, Word, and bilingual English/Bahasa Malaysia is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance/related field.
• 8–10 years of admin/accounting/finance experience.
• Experience in dealership, trading, distribution, equipment supply is an advantage.
• Familiar with bookkeeping, invoicing, AP/AR, bank reconciliation, audit, taxation, stock & inventory management.
• Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and MYOB.

Responsibilities

• Handle daily accounting transactions, data entry and bookkeeping; maintain accurate records.
• Manage accounts payable: verify invoices, prepare payments, reconcile supplier statements.
• Manage accounts receivable: issue invoices, credit/debit notes, record payments, monitor overdue accounts.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and prepare cash flow reports.
• Assist with month-end/year-end closing: journals, accruals, GL reconciliations and reports.
• Prepare audit schedules and tax-related documents; liaise with auditors and tax agents.
• Maintain financial documents and ensure compliance with internal controls.
• Answer calls and perform general admin duties; coordinate with customers, suppliers and banks.
• Coordinate shipments and arrange shipment insurance when needed; maintain stock lists and reports.
• Support management with accounting and administrative tasks; uphold confidentiality.
