Job summary

Bandar Utama City Sdn Bhd (HQ) is seeking a Finance Executive/Senior Executive to manage day-to-day financial operations and ensure accurate reporting in accordance with MPERS and tax laws. You may supervise junior staff depending on seniority.

The role involves preparing monthly management accounts, assisting CFO with timely reports, and ensuring timely bank reconciliations. Strong Excel and accounting system skills are required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent professional qualification.
• Minimum 4–5 years experience for Senior Executive level.
• Strong knowledge of MPERS and Malaysian tax regulations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems.
• Detail-oriented, analytical, and capable of meeting deadlines.
• Good communication skills and able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Immediate Starter or Short Notice Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial statements.
• Assist Finance Manager / CFO in the preparation of timely reports for management and stakeholders.
• Support budgetary reporting, including variance analysis on quarterly basis.
• Review and prepare reconciliation of sub-ledgers to general ledgers to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain proper general ledger records in accordance with MPERS accounting standards, tax laws, and company policies.
• Conduct month-end closing activities including journal entries, accruals, depreciation, and reconciliations.
• Supervise subordinate staff in the day-to-day financial functions of the company, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to SOPs.
• Review and process supplier invoices, claims, utilities, and payment runs.
• Prepare and ensure bank reconciliations are completed on a timely basis for all accounts.
• Liaise with external auditors and tax agents to ensure adherence to accounting standards and tax laws.
