Job summary

Hunters International Sdn Bhd is assisting in recruiting a Finance Manager/Senior Manager – Group Finance to lead the group finance function, including reporting, treasury, tax compliance, and internal controls, located in Petaling Jaya.

The role requires 5–8 years in a similar capacity, with strong IFRS/MFRS knowledge and fluency in English and Mandarin. Reporting to senior management, you will drive process improvements and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

About the Role

Our client islooking for a Finance Manager/Senior Manager – Group Finance to lead and oversee the Group Finance function, including financial reporting, treasury, tax compliance, financial analysis, finance operations, internal controls, and ensuring compliance with applicable financial reporting standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and review of monthly management accounts and financial analysis reports, ensuring timeliness, accuracy, completeness, and compliance with Group reporting requirements and regulatory standards.
• Responsible and lead the Group treasury activities, including cash flow planning and treasury activities to ensure optimal liquidity management.
• Responsible to ensure tax compliance and filing with applicable tax regulations and transfer pricing requirements.
• Compile financial data, perform detailed monthly variance analysis, identify key performance drivers, monitor action plans and provide commentaries on financial performance.
• Lead the day-to-day finance operations and functions to ensure efficient, effective and consistent finance practices, timely closing of accounts, proper financial records and compliance with established policies and procedures.
• Enhance and improve financial reporting formats, systems and processes. Identify gaps or areas for standardization and to formulate accounting policies and procedures including automation of reporting process to improve the overall finance operation and reporting.
• Develop and implement strong internal controls, financial policies, and procedures.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agent, regulatory bodies, bankers, company secretary and lawyers for audit/tax/banking/legal matters.
• Keep abreast of financial reporting standard MFRS, and other statutory requirements; ensure strict compliance and adherence.
• Always be alert and keep track of important datelines, resourcefully and proactively complete required working papers.
• Undertake any other project and ad-hoc assignments as and when required by the superior.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or related field.
• Minimum 5-8 years of relevant working experience in a similar capacity, working experience in a large-sized organization is preferable.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS/MFRS, tax regulations and Group financial reporting standards.
• Written and spoken English and Mandarin are a MUST.
• Strong analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Proactive, ability to drive and function effectively in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
• Ability to establish, collaborate and work with internal cross-functional team members effectively and productively.
• Able to work under tight deadline and in a fast-paced multi-tasking environment.
• Hands on Experience in closing full set of accounts, cash flow and banking, tax computation and filing, and working in large size of company.
