Job summary

Shui Xing Group in Selangor, Malaysia seeks an experienced finance leader to oversee day-to-day accounting and financial operations across the group. The role ensures accurate financial records and timely closing activities, with collaboration across departments.

You will manage full sets of accounts, prepare management reports and budgets, analyze profitability and cash flow, and provide actionable recommendations to improve performance. Strong leadership of the finance team is expected.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day accounting and finance operations of the Group and ensure financial records are accurate and up to date.
• Manage and review the full set of accounts, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payments and collections.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports, budgets, forecasts and other financial analysis for management review.
• Analyse the Company's revenue, costs, profitability and overall financial performance, including comparisons against budget, forecast and previous periods.
• Identify and investigate significant financial variances and understand the key reasons behind changes in performance.
• Work closely with Sales, Operations and other relevant departments to analyse financial and operational performance, understand the key factors affecting revenue, costs and profitability,
• Provide management with clear explanations, insights and practical recommendations based on financial and operational data.
• Monitor key financial and operational indicators and highlight potential risks, cost pressures and improvement opportunities.
• Support management in evaluating business performance and making informed decisions on pricing, costs, profitability and resource utilisation.
• Monitor cash flow and assist with cash flow planning and working capital management.
• Assist in annual budgeting, financial forecasting and business planning.
• Establish and maintain appropriate financial controls and accounting procedures.
• Ensure timely completion of month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, bankers, company secretary and other relevant parties.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax requirements and statutory requirements.
• Lead and support the finance team in carrying out their daily responsibilities and ensure work is completed accurately and on time.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting and internal controls.
