Job summary

PHONGSAVANH GROUP (MALAYSIA) SDN. BHD. seeks a seasoned Finance Controller to lead accounting, reporting and compliance for the Malaysian entity, partnering with cross-border head office.

You will build end-to-end financial processes, manage month-end close, budgeting, forecasting and cash flow, and drive internal controls and governance across the group. Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting or Finance; MIA member with ACCA/CPA/CA/CIMA or equivalent.
• 8+ years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a controller or finance manager role.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and treasury.
• Experience in project feasibility studies, financial modelling, investment analysis and CAPEX evaluation.
• Leadership, people management and business partnering capabilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• SSC exposure is an advantage; proficient in Excel with financial modelling.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the Finance and Accounting functions, ensuring statutory compliance.
• Act as a strategic business partner by providing financial insights for decisions.
• Manage full accounting cycle, month-end close and monthly management accounts.
• Support business expansion and strategic corporate initiatives as required.
• Develop budgets, forecasts, and strategic financial plans to drive growth.
• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis with corrective actions.
• Conduct profitability analysis, investment appraisal and CAPEX evaluation.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial transactions and records.
• Oversee payroll and statutory contributions (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB).
• Manage cash flow, working capital, banking facilities, and treasury functions.
• Establish and maintain internal controls and approvals aligned with group standards.
