Rentokil Initial Group in Subang, Malaysia is seeking a Finance Manager for GL and Reporting in our Shared Service Center. You will oversee month-end close, prepare management accounts and packs, and coordinate audits to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

The ideal candidate has IFRS knowledge, 6+ years of experience, and strong Excel skills; you will lead a finance team, drive forecasting and budgeting, and reinforce internal controls across a large, devolved organisation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of relevant working experience (audit preferred).
• Strong IFRS accounting knowledge and experience.
• Practical experience in budgeting, accounting and forecasting in a large organisation.
• Experience in financial management of programs and projects.

Responsabilités

We are seeking a motivated, dynamic Finance Manager for GL & Reporting (Shared Service Center) based in Subang to join our team. If you are passionate about finance, possess a keen eye for detail, and are ready to kickstart your career in a supportive environment, we want to hear from you.

In this role you will be responsible for:

• To oversee and monitor the overall month end closing activities and period closing.
• To prepare monthly management accounts, half year and year end form packs according to the timetables issued by the Group finance on a consistent and accurate basis.
• To project manage the external, internal and other local statutory audits/reporting requirements to ensure compliance with the stipulated timelines and requirements.

PRINCIPLE OF RESPONSIBILITIES

• To support the coordination for completion of timely and robust forecasts to facilitate the decision-making process and to ensure that reasons for changes are documented, communicated and fully understood, including implications for the balance sheet and cash flow amongst the finance team (at the minimum).
• To establish and maintain adequate systems of internal control to ensure completeness and accuracy of the business’s books and records and to safeguard its assets.
• To ensure that the financial information issued by the business is consistent with the underlying accounting records, adjusted to comply with Group policies and any applicable International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• To ensure that the business meets its obligations in respect of all taxation matters including income tax and service tax.
• Review and approve manual journal entries at month end with appropriate and complete supporting documentation.
• Preparation of annual financial statements and provisional tax and deferred tax computation.
• Review of balance sheet reconciliations performed by SSC GL team to ensure compliance to internal controls.
• Preparation of annual financial statements and provisional tax and deferred tax computation in accordance with IFRS.
• Assist in the standardization of accounting procedures/practices within the SSC.
• Assist in drafting accounting memorandum, where necessary.
• Any other ad-hoc tasks as required by the management team.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Minimum 6 years of relevant working experience (preferably minimum 3 years in audit)
• Strong IFRS accounting knowledge and experience
• Practical experience in budgeting, accounting and forecasting in a large, devolved organisation, preferably within the MNC environment
• Experience in the financial management of programs and projects
• Strong leadership qualities, result oriented, dynamic, self-driven and motivated to work with and through people of various levels
• Excellent spoken and written English & Mandarin
• Good IT knowledge with advance excel skills will be an added advantage
• Team player, proactive, good attitude, able to work independently and efficiently, meticulous, analytical and able to work under tight deadline
