Job summary

Rentokil Initial Group in Subang, Malaysia is seeking a Finance Manager for GL and Reporting in our Shared Service Center. You will oversee month-end close, prepare management accounts and packs, and coordinate audits to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

The ideal candidate has IFRS knowledge, 6+ years of experience, and strong Excel skills; you will lead a finance team, drive forecasting and budgeting, and reinforce internal controls across a large, devolved organisation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of relevant working experience (audit preferred).
• Strong IFRS accounting knowledge and experience.
• Practical experience in budgeting, accounting and forecasting in a large organisation.
• Experience in financial management of programs and projects.
• Leadership qualities with ability to drive results and work with people at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and monitor month end closing activities and period closing.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, half year and year end packs.
• Coordinate external, internal and local statutory audits to meet timelines.
• Support robust forecasts and ensure balance sheet and cash flow implications are documented.
• Establish internal controls and ensure accuracy of financial records.
• Ensure IFRS compliance and tax obligations are met.
• Review manual journals and reconciliations; assist in IFRS-based statements.
• Standardise accounting procedures within SSC; handle ad-hoc tasks.
