Job summary

Ambition represents a multinational healthcare group in Kuala Lumpur seeking a Finance Manager to own the full finance function and lead a sizable team from the Kuala Lumpur office.

You will manage GL and AP, deliver US GAAP monthly reports, assist budgeting and rolling forecasts, and perform variance analyses with emphasis on operational insights and internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting or ACCA/CPA/ACA/CIMA or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of financial reporting experience, with mix of reporting and external audit.
• SOX and US GAAP experience would be highly advantageous.
• Proven ability to lead and develop a team of 5-10 finance professionals.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with GL and AP teams across accounting activities, reconciliations and payments.
• Prepare monthly financial reports in line with US GAAP and corporate deadlines.
• Support facility-level budgeting and monthly rolling forecasts.
• Produce P&L variance analyses and provide actionable insights to management.
• Monitor inventory cost movements and coordinate root cause analyses.
• Oversee statutory audits, tax, and regulatory reporting across Malaysian entities.
• Ensure SOX compliance and maintain strong internal controls.
• Coordinate with internal audit to address findings and remediation.
• Support potential acquisitions integration.

They are offering an opportunity to step up in managing a big finance team, with a combination of end-to-end ownership of the finance function and technical reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Working closely with both GL and AP team across all accounting activities, reconciliations, and payment runs.
• Preparing monthly financial reports in line with US GAAP and corporate deadlines.
• Supporting facility-level budgeting and monthly rolling forecasts.
• Producing P&L variance analyses and delivering actionable insights to operational and management teams.
• Monitoring inventory cost movements and working with relevant teams on root cause resolution.
• Managing statutory audits, tax, and regulatory reporting across all Malaysian legal entities.
• Ensuring SOX compliance and maintaining a robust internal control environment.
• Collaborating with internal audit to address and remediate findings.
• Supporting the integration of potential business acquisitions.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Possess Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting or professionally qualified accountant ie. ACCA, CPA, ACA, CIMA, or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of financial reporting experience, ideally with mixture of experience in reporting and external audit.
• SOX and US GAAP experience would be highly advantageous.
• Proven ability to lead and develop a team of 5-10 finance professionals.
