Job summary

Gateway Search client in Kuala Lumpur seeks an experienced Finance Manager to lead FP&A, budgeting, reporting, and business partnering with senior leadership in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will drive planning, consolidate monthly results, manage controls, and mentor a high-performing team while collaborating with Manufacturing, Operations, and Engineering to improve financial performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related discipline.
• ACCA, CPA, ICAEW or CIMA professional qualification preferred.
• At least 8 years of finance experience including 3 years in a Finance Manager or leadership role.
• Strong FP&A, budgeting, reporting, and financial controls experience.
• Experience in manufacturing or capital-intensive industries advantageous.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and business partnering skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and long-term planning.
• Prepare monthly management reports, financial analysis, and performance insights.
• Monitor budget performance, identify variances, and recommend actions.
• Partner with Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement and Engineering.
• Manage operating and capital budgets and drive cost optimization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, or CIMA is highly preferred.
• At least 8 years of finance experience, including 3 years in a Finance Manager or similar leadership role.
• Strong experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), budgeting, management reporting, and financial controls.
• Experience in manufacturing, industrial, electronics, renewable energy, automotive, or other capital-intensive industries will be highly advantageous.
• Strong commercial mindset with excellent analytical, problem-solving, and business partnering skills.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or equivalent.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and financial modelling experience.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders and lead cross-functional initiatives.
