Job summary

Epicon Berhad is seeking a senior finance leader to oversee financial and management accounting, group consolidation, and statutory reporting. The role drives internal controls, audit liaison, and treasury needs while ensuring regulatory compliance and accurate project costing across construction ventures.

The candidate should have a degree in accounting with professional qualification (ACCA/CPA/CIMA or equivalent) and 5–10 years of finance experience, including 3+ years in management, ideally

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting with professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent)
• 5–10 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, 3+ years in a managerial role
• Experience in construction/property development industry in Malaysia
• Experience in listed company is advantageous
• Strong knowledge of MFRS, especially MFRS 15
• Expertise in project costing, cash flow management and corporate taxation
• Proficiency with ERP systems; construction-specific accounting software is a plus
• Strong leadership, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Meticulous with high integrity and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities

Responsibilities

• Oversee full spectrum of financial and management accounting, including group consolidation for company and subsidiaries
• Ensure timely preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements per MFRS, Companies Act 2016 and Bursa Malaysia Listing Requirements
• Manage annual audit process and liaise with external auditors
• Develop and implement internal controls and policies to safeguard assets and ensure financial integrity
• Lead financial management of construction projects, including costing, progress billings and revenue recognition per MFRS 15
