Job summary

Executive Recruiters Sdn Bhd is seeking a Senior Finance Manager to lead financial reporting under MFRS/IFRS for Bursa Malaysia compliance, including accurate statements and risk assessment across construction projects.

You will oversee budgeting, cash flow, internal controls, and liaison with auditors and boards, guiding strategic decisions with strong analytical and stakeholder management skills.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting with professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, MICPA, CIMA) is required.
• At least 8 years of managerial finance/accounts experience, preferably in construction, engineering, or property development.
• Public listed company experience with Bursa Malaysia reporting is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of MFRS/IFRS and corporate governance for public companies.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present accurate, timely financial statements in accordance with MFRS/IFRS and Bursa Malaysia listing requirements.
• Develop and manage budgeting process, including project cost budgets, and report variances to Senior Management and the Board.
• Conduct financial analysis and risk assessment across ongoing construction projects to support strategic decision-making.
• Establish and maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with Bursa Malaysia and statutory/regulatory requirements.
• Manage cash flow, working capital, and forecasting to ensure adequate liquidity for construction operations.
• Coordinate with external and internal auditors and ensure compliance with tax and statutory reporting obligations.
• Report financial performance and insights to Senior Management, the Board, investors, and lenders.
• Oversee financial systems and construction project costing tools to improve reporting accuracy and efficiency.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, MICPA, CIMA) required.

At least 8 years of managerial finance/accounts experience, preferably in construction, engineering, or property development.

Public listed company experience advantageous, with exposure to Bursa Malaysia reporting requirements.

Knowledge of construction project accounting (progress billing, retention sums, MFRS 15 revenue recognition).

Strong understanding of MFRS/IFRS and corporate governance requirements for public listed companies.

Strong analytical, leadership and stakeholder management skills, with attention to detail and integrity.
