Job summary

Ezypay, now part of Xplor Pay, seeks a Finance Manager in Kuala Lumpur to build and lead a high-performing accounting function across Asia Pacific. You will oversee GL, treasury, tax, audits and statutory reporting while partnering with the Finance Director on budgeting and strategic initiatives.

The role emphasizes process improvements, cross-entity controls, and collaboration with auditors and tax advisors in a fast-growing fintech environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline with a professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CA or equivalent).
• At least 10 years' experience in accounting and finance, including leading high-performing accounting teams.
• Proven experience managing accounting across multiple legal entities and jurisdictions, including statutory reporting, tax compliance and external audits.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, consolidation, taxation, statutory compliance, internal controls and audit requirements.
• Experience in multinational, fintech, technology or high-growth environments is valued.
• Hands-on ERP experience (NetSuite, Oracle, SAP or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with financial reporting and BI tools (Power BI or similar) advantageous.
• Collaborative leadership style with ability to influence stakeholders and drive change.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop the accounting team with a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations across the Group incl. GL, AP, AR, treasury, fixed assets and close processes.
• Review and approve journals, reconciliations and key schedules prepared by the team.
• Ensure timely preparation of monthly financial results, balance sheet reconciliations and management reporting.
• Own statutory reporting, including audits, tax, GST/VAT/SST and regulatory compliance across jurisdictions.
• Partner with Finance Director on budgeting, cash flow management and financial planning.
• Lead finance process improvements, system enhancements and automation initiatives.
• Build relationships with auditors, tax advisors, bankers and regulators.
