Job summary

Ezypay, now part of Xplor Pay, seeks a Finance Manager in Kuala Lumpur to build and lead a high-performing accounting function across Asia Pacific. You will oversee GL, treasury, tax, audits and statutory reporting while partnering with the Finance Director on budgeting and strategic initiatives.

The role emphasizes process improvements, cross-entity controls, and collaboration with auditors and tax advisors in a fast-growing fintech environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline with a professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CA or equivalent).
• At least 10 years' experience in accounting and finance, including leading high-performing accounting teams.
• Proven experience managing accounting across multiple legal entities and jurisdictions, including statutory reporting, tax compliance and external audits.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, consolidation, taxation, statutory compliance, internal controls and audit requirements.
• Experience in multinational, fintech, technology or high-growth environments is valued.
• Hands-on ERP experience (NetSuite, Oracle, SAP or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with financial reporting and BI tools (Power BI or similar) advantageous.
• Collaborative leadership style with ability to influence stakeholders and drive change.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop the accounting team with a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations across the Group incl. GL, AP, AR, treasury, fixed assets and close processes.
• Review and approve journals, reconciliations and key schedules prepared by the team.
• Ensure timely preparation of monthly financial results, balance sheet reconciliations and management reporting.
• Own statutory reporting, including audits, tax, GST/VAT/SST and regulatory compliance across jurisdictions.
• Partner with Finance Director on budgeting, cash flow management and financial planning.
• Lead finance process improvements, system enhancements and automation initiatives.
• Build relationships with auditors, tax advisors, bankers and regulators.

Job Description

Join our Ezypay team as Finance Manager in Kuala Lumpur to make a real impact every day. This role sits within our growing payments business. With Ezypay now part of Xplor Technologies, we're integrating world-class subscription management and embedded payments capabilities into our platform, and there's meaningful work ahead.

You will help us build a high-performing finance function that supports Ezypay's continued growth across Asia Pacific.

As a Finance Manager, you will:

• Lead, mentor and develop the accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.


• Establish clear performance expectations and drive capability development across the finance function.


• Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations across the Group, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, treasury, fixed assets and month-end/quarter-end/year-end close.


• Review and approve journals, reconciliations and key accounting schedules prepared by the team.


• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly financial results, balance sheet reconciliations and management reporting.


• Own the statutory reporting process, including external audits, corporate tax, GST/VAT/SST, withholding taxes and regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions.


• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, company policies and statutory requirements.


• Partner closely with the Finance Director on budgeting, cash flow management, financial planning and key finance initiatives.


• Lead the implementation of finance process improvements, system enhancements and automation initiatives to improve efficiency and strengthen controls.


• Build strong relationships with auditors, tax advisors, bankers, regulators and internal stakeholders.


• Support finance transformation projects, including ERP implementations and integration initiatives.


• Act as the primary escalation point for technical accounting matters and provide guidance to the accounting team.


• Deputise for the Finance Director when required, ensuring continuity of finance operations.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline with a professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CA or equivalent).


• At least 10 years' experience in accounting and finance, including several years leading high-performing accounting teams.


• Proven experience managing accounting across multiple legal entities and jurisdictions, including statutory reporting, tax compliance and external audits.


• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, consolidation, taxation, statutory compliance, internal controls and audit requirements.


• Experience working in a multinational, fintech, technology or high-growth environment will be highly regarded.


• Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, SAP or similar.


• Advanced Excel skills and a passion for improving processes through automation and technology.


• Experience with financial reporting and business intelligence tools (e.g. Power BI, OneStream or similar) would be advantageous.


• A collaborative leadership style with the confidence to influence stakeholders, drive change and make sound commercial decisions.


• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
