We seek an accounting professional to manage full-set accounting, monthly closings, and process improvements. You will work in a team environment, supporting budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis while ensuring regulatory compliance and cooperation with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant accounting or finance experience.
• Knowledge of full set accounting is essential.
• Audit experience is an added advantage.
• Good understanding of MFRS and Malaysian tax regulations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with ERP and MES systems; Epicor ERP knowledge is a plus.

• Prepare and maintain accounting records and journal entries.
• Perform monthly financial closing.
• Maintain full set of accounts, including reconciliations and financial schedules.
• Ensure compliance with MFRS, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.

• Support implementation and improvement of accounting processes, ERP systems and internal controls.

Perform monthly financial closing

Maintain full set of accounts, including account reconciliations and financial schedules.

Ensure compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS), tax regulations, and statutory requirements.

Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, bankers, and regulatory authorities when required.

Support the implementation and continuous improvement of accounting processes, ERP systems, and internal controls.

Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

Participate in finance transformation and process improvement initiatives.

Perform other finance and accounting duties assigned by management.

Requirements

Straits is a medical devices manufacturer and our principal business is the production, cleaning and packaging of orthopaedics devices and accessories (trauma and reconstructive ) and wound care products. Mainly, all our product are exported to our customers in the United States of America, China, Japan, Europe etc. Straits is a company certified with ISO 13485 and ISO 9001. Our company is registered with US FDA and is required to comply with 21 CFR Part 820.
