Job summary

Dancomech Engineering in Shah Alam, Selangor seeks a senior finance leader to oversee the Finance Department, manage month-end closings, consolidate group accounts, and coordinate with auditors and authorities.

The ideal candidate holds a professional accounting qualification with 8+ years’ experience including at least 3 years in a managerial role, and excels in English (Mandarin a plus) with strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Professional accounting qualification as required.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience including 3+ years in a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards and Bursa Malaysia reporting (if applicable).
• Good command of written and spoken English; Mandarin would be an advantage.
• Collaborative team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with an organised and responsible approach.
• Able to work independently, manage priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the Finance Department (invoicing, payments, banking, etc.).
• Manage month-end closing and prepare monthly management accounts and quarterly Bursa Malaysia-style reports.
• Prepare group consolidation and ensure timely Bursa Malaysia submissions.
• Liaise with external/internal auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, bankers and authorities.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and coordinate financial materials for Board meetings.

• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, company policies and regulatory requirements.

• Prepare and coordinate financial materials and reports for Board meetings.

Strengthen internal controls and continuously improve financial systems, processes and procedures.
