Job summary

Team Keris Berhad in Ipoh, Malaysia is hiring a Finance Controller to oversee accounting operations, budgeting, intercompany and tax matters, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance.

You will lead month-end close, liaise with auditors and banks, develop internal controls, and guide cost accounting across projects in the construction/property sector.

Qualifications

• ACCA or higher professional qualification in Finance/Accountancy is required.
• At least 10 years of experience in finance roles.
• Experience in Construction/Property sector is a MUST.
• Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia, English and Mandarin would be advantageous.
• Experience in Big 4 is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, GL and Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition, project budget vs actual, cash flow monitoring, and tax matters.
• Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
• Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
• Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
• Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
• Support month-end and year-end close process, liaising with auditors, bankers and the necessary stakeholders to ensure timely audit and its completion.
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
• Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
• In charge of accounting system, and in addition support other system maintenance and integration.
• Additional controller duties as necessary.

Education

ACCA or Bachelor Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional qualification in Finance/Accountancy or equivalent

10+ years of experience in finance
