Job summary

GST MALAYSIA PLT is seeking a hands-on Finance Manager to lead full-set accounting operations across two entities in Penang. You will manage day-to-day accounting, financial reporting, tax compliance, and internal controls while coordinating with our team in China.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, at least five years’ experience, fluency in Mandarin, and strong skills in Excel and accounting software (SQL Financial Accounting, AutoCount).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; professional qualifications add advantage.
• Minimum 5 years' hands-on experience with full-set accounts.
• Solid knowledge of Malaysian corporate tax (CIT, SST, PCB).
• Fluent Mandarin (spoken and written) for China liaison.
• Proficient in SQL Financial Accounting or AutoCount and advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day AP, AR, GL, bank reconciliations, fixed assets, and cash flow across two entities.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with standard reporting rules.
• Handle corporate tax, SST, PCB and ensure timely statutory submissions to LHDN.
• Maintain accounting records and balance sheet schedules for smooth year-end closing with auditors, tax agents, and secretaries.
• Communicate and align accounting records with counterparts in China.
• Analyze workflows, enhance internal controls, and prepare management reports for decision-making.

Job description

We are looking for a hands-on Finance Manager to lead full-set accounting operations across two business entities. This role involves complete financial management, statutory tax compliance, internal control enhancements, and active regional collaboration with our counterpart finance team in China.

Key Responsibilities

Full-Set Accounting: Manage day-to-day AP, AR, GL, bank reconciliations, fixed assets, and cash flow operations across two entities.

Financial Reporting & Statements: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with standard reporting rules.

Corporate Tax & Compliance: Handle all corporate tax-related matters (Corporate Tax, SST, PCB) and ensure timely statutory submissions to LHDN.

Audits & Stakeholder Liaison: Maintain complete accounting records and balance sheet schedules to lead smooth year-end closing with external auditors, tax agents, and company secretaries.

Regional Collaboration: Serve as the main point of contact to communicate and align regular accounting records with team counterparts in China.

Process Improvement & Insights: Analyze current accounting workflows, enhance internal controls, and prepare management reports to support executive decision-making.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or MIA is an added advantage).

Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience handling full-set accounts.

Tax Knowledge: Solid understanding of Malaysian corporate tax rules (Corporate Income Tax, SST, and PCB).

Language Proficiency: Fluency in Mandarin (spoken & written) is required due to regular interaction with stakeholders in China.

Technical Skills: Proficient in accounting software (e.g., SQL Financial Accounting, AutoCount) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Soft Skills: Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to work independently to meet tight reporting deadlines.
