Job summary

Kejuruteraan Powerwell is seeking an experienced finance professional to manage the full set of accounts and deliver timely monthly management reports from its Shah Alam offices. The role includes cash flow forecasting, working capital management, and coordination with tax agents and auditors.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in accounting and finance with 5+ years of relevant experience, including supervisory duties. Strong Excel and AutoCount skills are advantageous for this position.

Qualifications

• Degree or higher in Accounting and Finance or related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant accounting/finance experience, with managerial or supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Good attention to details and high level of accuracy.
• Strong knowledge of financial accounting, taxation, analytical mindset & good problem-solving skills.
• Experience in project-based or manufacturing environments would be an added advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with AutoCount system would be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage full set of accounts and timely monthly management accounts and reports.
• Review general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations and accounting records.
• Manage cash flow, forecast, working capital, banking facilities and financing.
• Monitor AR, AP and inventory for working capital management.
• Handle e-invoicing, SST and other tax related matters.
• Review contracts, tender docs, project registration, costing and reconciliations.
• Train and supervise junior team members in accounting functions.
• Prepare annual budgets, cash flow projections and forecasts.
• Coordinate with tax agents on corporate tax computations and filings.
• Coordinate with external auditors for interim and annual audits.
• Assist with ad-hoc tasks as required.

Job description

Manage the full set of accounts and ensure timely preparation of monthly management accounts, financial reports and supporting schedules.

Review general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations and accounting records.

Manage the company's cash flow, including cash flow forecasting, working capital management, banking facilities and financing arrangements.

Monitor and analyze accounts receivable, accounts payable and inventory to support effective working capital management.

Handling e-invoicing matters and SST and other tax-related matters, ensuring compliance and applicable requirements.

Review commercial matters including contract/terms review, input on tender documentation, project registration, costing review and reconciliations

Train, guide and monitor junior team members in carrying out the account functions.

Prepare annual budgets, cash flow projections and financial forecasts.

Coordinate with tax agents on corporate tax computations, tax estimates, tax filings and other tax related matters

Coordinate with external auditors for interim and annual audits.

Any other ad-hoc tasks as required by management.
