Job summary

Pacific & Orient Insurance Co. Berhad in Malaysia is seeking an experienced finance leader to oversee the accounting functions, including General Ledger, Budget and Taxes, and to prepare accurate financial statements and regulatory reports.

The role requires an Accounting degree or professional qualification (MIA, CPA, ACCA or CIMA), at least 3 years of relevant experience, strong knowledge of MFRSs, IFRS and taxation, plus excellent communication and time management to meet deadlines, and to

Responsibilities

• Oversee the accounting functions and activities of the Company, primarily in General Ledger, Budget and Taxes.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, regulatory and management report.
• Implement and maintain appropriate internal controls and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory bodies and advise Management on necessary actions.
• Supervise, guide and provide training to subordinates.
• Proactive participation in driving the implementation of accounting projects.
